Параметр, который зависит от уровня и фазового сдвига векторов электрического и магнитного поля. Численно определяется как отношение малой полуоси эллипса поляризации к его большой оси (см. polarization ellipse). В случае круговой поляризации коэффициент эллиптичности равен 1.
